Flamenco Festival Celebrates Dance Form

From June 9-13, Albuquerque, NM will welcome the 23rd annual Festival Flamenco Internacional de Alburquerque, a celebration of the passion and energy of flamenco. The Festival Flamenco encourages audience members to appreciate the aesthetic appeal of the dance form and to participate as well!

The quality of the performers at this festival is of the highest caliber, and the festival seeks to honor Albuquerque’s Spanish roots. This year’s performers include Pilar Ogalla, Manuela Carrasco, Anton Jimenez, Andres Pena, and many more.

The festival typically attracts over 5,500 workshop participants and theatre patrons. Participants can attend more than 30 workshops taught by master artists. These workshops cater to all skill levels and cover many flamenco dance components.

Brunei’s Got Talent Celebrates All Forms of Talent

Brunei, a country located on the north coast of Borneo, in Southeast Asia, is hosting a talent search and show. Contestants from “Who’s Got Talent?” in Brunei showcased their unique talents for live audiences.

The voting recently started and will end on May 17th. After the voting period, 16 contestants will be sent to the semifinals. Anyone who wants to vote can log into the official website for more details about the contestants and their talents.

The competition is a way for undiscovered talent to gain exposure and a fan base. This year’s categories include Singers, Bands/Musicians, Dancers/Dance groups, and Unique Talent. Unique Talent includes magic tricks and anything that doesn’t fall under the categories.

The grand prize winner will take home $3,500, the second place winner will go home with $2,000, the third place winner will have $1,000, and the fourth place winner will go home with $700. All winners will receive a trophy that honors their achievements.

David Hasselhoff Quits “America’s Got Talent”

According to People Magazine, David Hasselhoff decided to quit his position as one of the judges on “America’s Got Talent” because he might be able to land his own television show.

In a statement to People, Hasselhoff said, “It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.”

Hasselhoff is the second judge (Brandy left the show immediately following the first season) to leave the show.

The producers of “America’s Got Talent” need to find a new judge to replace Hasselhoff. Given Hasselhoff’s bright personality and captivating presence, the producers will have a difficult time finding a replacement.

No one is sure what Hasselhoff will be doing in the future, but “America’s Got Talent” is one of the top-rated shows on television, attracting millions of viewers for every episode.

India’s Got Talent Seeks Rising Stars

The producers of India Got Talent are currently looking for people interested in auditioning for their show. Talented individuals who want to audition for the second season of this popular show can access the registration form online.

To fill out the registration form, simply enter your name, your e-mail address, your date of birth, your gender, your home city, and your desired audition city. When you have completed all the necessary fields, simply click “Submit”.

Aired on the Colours channel, India Got Talent will be judged by Sekhar Kapoor, Kiran Kher, and Sonali Bendre, the most talented stars of India Got Talent. Last season, Prince Dance Group from Orissa, India was the first winner of India Got Talent. Who will the judges choose this season?

Cherry Hill, NJ Talent Show Benefits Education

Cherry Hill’s Got Talent! is a talent show presented by the Cherry Hill Education Foundation. After the success of Dancing with the Cherry Hill Stars, the organization decided to host another event, which will take place on Sunday, April 18th at 7 PM at the Cherry Hill High School West New Auditorium in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Performers range in age from 7-90, and audience members will be able to enjoy many different forms of entertainment, from classical music and karate to drum solos.

To vote, audience members will place money ($1, $5, $10, etc.) in each performer’s ballot box. The act that is able to raise the most money for the Cherry Hill Education Foundation will earn the title as the winner of the Cherry Hill’s Got Talent competition! The proceeds will fund grant requests submitted by staff, and the proposed programs will benefit more than 11,600 children in the Cherry Hill Public School system.

Vermont Has Talent Benefits Local Charity

Are you in Vermont this weekend? Do you have family and friends visiting for the Easter holiday? On Saturday, April 3rd, the whole family can enjoy Vermont Has Talent, a talent show for local students ages 5 to 24.

The talent show will be held at St. Michaels College Recital Hall (1 Winooski Park – Colchester, Vermont 05446) at 7 PM. Contestants will be local singers, dancers, musicians, gymnasts, jugglers, and even twirlers!

The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship to the John Robert Powers School for Talented and Performing Young People in Boston, MA.

Attendees help support a local charity too! All proceeds will go toward The Miss Vermont Scholarship Fund.

Anyone interested can purchase tickets at the door or online at the Miss Vermont Website through PayPal. Admission is $14 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and $6 for children under 12.
