How to Host a Benefit Fashion Show

Do you want to raise money for a charity or an organization? Throwing a benefit fashion show can be a useful way to gain publicity for your cause and to gather funds.

First, you will need to know the basics of hosting a fashion show. If you want your fashion show to seem professional, you will need a venue with a runway and seating, you will need models, and you will need clothing and accessories!

If you don’t already know fashion designers who would be willing to showcase their clothing, you will need to network within the industry. Upcoming fashion designers will be more willing to participate in a benefit fashion show because they are eager to gain positive exposure.

On the day of the event, someone behind the scenes will need to organize outfit changes, the order that the models appear on the runway, and the music.

You will need to make sure that all the money (from entrance fees, refreshment sales, etc.) is accounted for by a trusted person. You want to make sure that your chosen charity or organization receives all the money, and that nothing is lost or stolen.
