According to Sandrine Milet of MTV.com,  Well, now kids all over the country will be able to dress just like Sonny when the “D Signed” fashion line hits Target August 1st, just a few weeks before school starts.

The line, which is inspired by Demi’s character, will include t-shirts, shorts, skirts, jewelry and bags for girls ages 8 to 12. According to Reuters, what’s special about the line is that “rather than create traditional merchandise with the characters’ likeness, fashion items from D-Signed are those that would be found in Sonny’s own closet — if she were a real person.” Sounds like fun!

But, in real life, the actress has great fashion sense, too, and she loves to take risks in terms of color. In a video posted on Disney Living’s YouTube site, Demi said, “I like mixing and matching things … I really like mixing colors. They always say, ‘Don’t wear brown and black together,’ but I totally do that.”

So will Demi come out with her own fashion any time soon? After all, it is a longtime trend for Disney stars to make their way into the fashion world. Recently Selena Gomez announced her line “Dream Out Loud” would be launching this September in K-Marts in the U.S., and last year, Miley Cyrus came out with designs for Walmart.

Check out “D Signed” in Target stores August 1st, and the 2nd collection coming out just in time for winter!

According to FWD, ‘Judging from the applause at the end of Lanvin’s latest menswear runway show, the best received collection in Europe these past 10 days in either Milan or Paris was that of this storied French brand.

A cunning distillation of several ideas – the revival of the dandy, bohemian tailoring and sensitive chic – the collection won a standing ovation at its finale on the morning of Sunday, June 27, in Paris.

Staged in the Mineralogy Gallery of Paris’ elegant Botanical Gardens – the cast got dressed before man-sized crystals in the backstage – the collection was a great statement of libertine French gentleman’s style. They were clothes that most every guy in the audience wanted to wear, and which women would love to see their husbands or boyfriends buy.

“We wanted to get away from the whole macho thing, from the stigma of being sensitive,” added the designer, as models knocked back champagne on the sun-filled gallery steps.’

It is an understatement saying that technology has changed the world of fashion and modeling. Nowadays after a photo shoot, graphic designers can use photoshop to digitally enhance or change the photo of the model. This method is sometimes helpful, but it is also come under fire and debate. Many photos of female models have been altered so strikingly, their bodies look completely unnatural and unattainable. Many people argue that the photoshop era has gone too far.

Airbrushing photos of models usually includes, shrinking of the waist, accentuation of their hips, cleaning up any inflammations or blemishes (even natural ones such as freckles or under-eye puffiness) and other things that begin to make the photos look completely unnatural.

Some companies are trying to break the tradition of airbrushing photos to the point of the models body looking unnatural, Debenham’s creative director Mark Woods said: “‘As a responsible retailer we want to help customers make the most of their beauty without bombarding them with unattainable body images…Our campaign is all about making women feel good about themselves – not eroding their self belief and esteem by using false comparisons…Not only does it make sense from a moral point of view, it ticks the economic boxes as well. Millions of pounds a year are spent by organizations retouching perfectly good images.”

Let’s hope other fashion companies will soon follow suit.

So should the punishment fit the crime? Not so much with gossip columnist’s most notorious bad boy Charlie Sheen, According to IVillage.com, ‘as part of Sheen’s plea agreement for his domestic violence charge, he may be doing time at Theatre Aspen in Colorado. The nonprofit regional theater wants to put Sheen to work during the day, teaching acting classes, fundraising, and perhaps even doing some acting. “He won’t be around long enough to star in one of the shows, but we might try to do a one-night reading with him,” said the theater’s artistic director. “I’d be crazy not to use him… Somebody of Charlie’s experience and caliber could be good for our actors.”‘

Sheen’s prison term looks to be only between about 15-30 days, and after that its back to Two and A Half Men, where his fans need him most!
