As reported by Taylor Combs of Refinery29.com, two new high-fashion boutiques have opened in NY’s coveted Hamptons area. Edition, a mini-chain of two boutiques, Southampton’s Edition No.002 and Montauk’s Edition No.003 , opened by resident fashion guru Peter Hananel, the proprietor of last summer’s highly popular pop-up TBD. This year, it seems that practice does indeed make perfect, with an even cooler selection of curated goods on tap, and a rustic, beach-house, Kelly Wearstler meets Steve Lewis vibe. The Southhampton location has an “edited” selection of hard-to-find menswear labels like UNIS, Folk, and Our Legacy, plus a selection of beach-reads created with the help of Spoonbill & Sugartown of Brooklyn. The Montauk outpost, nestled into laid-back resort Solé East, has the same cool-dudes stuff, but also carries womenswear from brands like A.P.C, Rag & Bone, Rachel Comey, and Vena Cava, plus a drool-worthy range of vintage pieces curated by stylist Vanessa Packer—think printed YSL scarves and pinstriped Jaeger jumpsuits.
